Our
approach to development focuses on understanding the
obstacles that inhibit people from realizing their
developmental goals while enhancing the abilities
that will allow them to achieve measurable and
sustainable results.
We conduct capacity building programs in the zonal
level as well as at subproject level throughout the
year. Resources persons
along with our project personnel tirelessly work at
both levels.
The capacity development programs aim
at strengthening the skills, competencies and
abilities of people and communities in developing
societies so they can overcome the causes of their
exclusion and suffering. It also includes
opportunities for networking and the sharing of good
practices.
The
notion of capacity building is associated to the
idea of increasing or developing skills and
competencies at an individual level. Our Capacity
building program is a systemic process which
involves different clusters, as individuals,
organizations, institution and society as a whole.
The
effects and impacts of each capacity building
strategy differ from project to project, village to
village as well as from individual to individual,
according to their pre-existing economic and social
background.

We at
Chetana Foundation facilitate trainings as per the
requirements of the sponsored families
(participants) on all sorts of livelihoods, small
business, vegetation, farming etc that will equip
them with practical skills, tools, and knowledge
that they require to maximize and deepen the impact
of their work and the scale of their activities .
The training are participatory, activity oriented,
and thought provoking.

We facilitate exposure/exchange visits which include
field exposure trips as well as Sponsor Children
Mother Group (SCMG) deliberations. This has been a
very successful means of facilitating learning. It
is designed and executed in a result oriented manner
thereby creating an environment of bringing positive
change.
